On this episode of Where You’re Going Podcast, our guest, Brian Burton, shares the incredible journey of his career and personal life.
After a long career as a college basketball coach, the last few years have been a journey of faith.
Brian and his wife, Natalie, faced a challenging moment when they received news about their unborn child having a high chance of having Down syndrome. Despite the difficult decision, they chose to continue the pregnancy, relying on their faith and support from friends.
Their daughter, Kobe Grace, is now the “secret weapon” of the Burton family. And Kobe is the inspiration for their company, Uprise.
Brian’s transition in his career was prompted by the realization that he could make an impact in different ways and prioritize his roles as a husband and father.

Brian believes that truly surrendering to God’s plan has led to his family’s success and encourages listeners to trust in God’s plan rather than comparing themselves to others.
In his career, Brian had unexpected transitions and rejections but ultimately realized that being authentic and serving others are the keys to success.
We never actually know where God is leading, but it’s so comforting to know that He is in control!
